Teaching Assistant - Bath

Teaching Assistants are vital members of the team. You'll work side by side with teachers to help every student access learning, develop independence, and grow in confidence. Your work will make a genuine difference, supporting young people to achieve their potential and flourish in all aspects of school life.

The Role

You will provide individual support to help students master lesson content and develop independent learning skills. You will deliver small-group or one-to-one interventions, promote positive behaviors, and help create a safe, stimulating learning environment. Collaboration is key, as you will work with teachers, SENDCO, pastoral staff, and families to ensure every student succeeds.

Candidate Requirements

We're looking for someone who puts students first and is passionate about their success. You should be able to build positive, respectful relationships with young people and work effectively as part of a team. We value candidates who communicate clearly and sensitively, understand or are willing to learn about SEND support, maintain high expectations of behavior, and remain organized, reliable, and professional.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should have experience working with young people and hold Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (or GCSE grade C/4 and above). We require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification; however, if you do not yet have this, we will enroll you in our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme to help you gain the necessary skills.
